Good. I will try to trust you. When you say that you are fine.

[ It's just that everyone always says they're fine. Occasionally while they are actively turning into a rock. Or when they've just been beaten to shit by a guy who can kick trains. Or when they're actively being used as a vessel for Hydaelyn.

It makes it a little hard to believe. ]

You did not worry me. I have chosen to be worried.

It is as it is. You have given me the matierials to make worry. But I am the one who has made it. Because I wanted to.

[ He has made this worry and it is a HQ worry and he is very proud of it thank you very much. He likes having it. ]

People who are well do not struggle to dress themselves. But I am satisfied that you will be well. [ He tilts his head from side to side, good ear flopping slightly in each direction as he does. ] May I help you? In the meantime.

I do not think I would want to worry less. I would want to worry about smaller things. I would like to worry about- [ He looks up, thinking. ] -about whether the Last Stand is going to run out of the kind of sugar that Urianger likes in his coffee. Or whether Krile's hood has made her hair look strange again. It would be good to have materials to make little worries.

[ And he tilts his head at the question. ]

I do not know what you need help with. Other than trousers. I am not good at trousers. I would like to help. If you need it. Because you are hurt. [ A glance around. ] I am very good at carrying books.

Small worries. Tataru is good at them. She gives me all kinds of small worries that she has made. If it will rain when she hangs out her clothes. If the people in her books will kiss. Whether rose pink or pastel pink is the best pink. Good, little worries. If you have the materials for worries like that, I would be happy to have them.

[ He considers that, because he isn't really concerned about the books on the whole. Just that they're barricading the door. ]

I mean to say that you are hurt, and that I would like to make it easier to be hurt. I do not know what would make it easier. [ A pause. ] But yes. I am worried that you cannot use your door. And it must be difficult to use the window with less legs than you are used to.

[ Good. He likes when things are knocked off the table. It means he gets to put them back. ]

Not even nearly enough. It is good, to have things to worry about. It makes it very easy to think of you.

[ Sorry G'raha he just says things like that sometimes and now you have to deal with it. ]

We should find the ones you want to read soonest and put them at the top of the piles. So you do not have to reach down until your leg recovers.

[ Not judging the book piles, just concerned that they are not OPTIMAL book piles. ]

[ The good news is that he doesn't know what he's implying. The bad news is that if he did know it he'd be implying it more.

He tilts his head, looking across the sea of books and frowning. ]

You would still need to bend, to get the ones at the bottom of the piles. [ But he walks over to the door, piling a collapsed book stack up before lifting the concerningly high pile effortlessly and bringing it over to a place where there is probably a bed, based on the layout of the other rooms. Somewhere. Under the books. ]

Sit down. I will bring books, and you can sort them.

If the piles are smaller. They would be at a good height. Or we could put the ones you want to read soonest on the desk.

[ Well, it's good that he has somewhere to sit that is not 'on the books'. Marcel puts the pile down, then tries to estimate where a good reaching height would be for G'raha, holding his hand at what would be about chest-level if the miqo'te were standing. ]

About as high as this. To make it easy to take books from the top.

[ NO PROBLEM, he will be sure to keep reminding him. For now, he splits the first pile of books into two smaller piles, to make sure he'll be able to reach the books at the top while sitting on the floor, and sits down. ]

This one. [ And he takes a book, handing it up to G'raha. ] For reading soon? Or for reading later?

[ He nods, starting two new stacks with each of the books, then takes the next two. On and on, until the books he brought over are all sorted. Then he stands, stretches, and gathers another pile to sort through.

And there are so many other things he could be doing. And some of them probably would be a better use of his time, measured by pure efficiency. But this is what he wants to be doing. He makes more estimated measurements, setting up piles that are about chest-height on G'raha, with the books for later on the bottom and the ones for sooner in the parts of the pile that he can reach without bending.

It's nice. Even if G'raha himself might have better things to do than sit and be asked what order he wants to read books in, it's nice. It's probably the only way he's ever going to be able to talk to G'raha about something that clearly matters so dearly to him, because he's never going to be capable of reading the bulk of these books.

The door's been clear for a while, but he's still contentedly bringing piles of books over. ]
